BestCredit exists to answer one question with actual rigour: which credit card pays you the most?Indian card marketing is a fog of "up to" rates, hidden caps and fine-print devaluations. We cut through it with data.
Who writes BestCredit
Every editorial card review on this site is written and published by Thompson Cherian (LinkedIn), founder and editor of BestCredit. He holds and pays the fees on several of the cards reviewed here — the American Express Platinum Card and Axis Bank Magnus since 2021, Axis Atlas and Standard Chartered Ultimate — and each of those reviews says so, with a first-hand section on how the card is actually used. Where a review is not first-hand, it says that too.
BestCredit is built and maintained by Thompson Consulting, a product development and AI consultancy. The card data, scoring model and this website are its work.
How we work
- Verified at the source.Every fee, reward rate, cap and benefit in our dataset is checked against the issuer's own published pages — each review shows its "last verified" date and links the issuer source.
- Ranked by a published formula. Our ratings come from the scoring model on the methodology page — not from commercial relationships. Commission rates are never an input.
- Real maths, not adjectives. The recommendation enginecomputes each card's net annual value for yourspending — rewards earned minus fees, with category caps applied — instead of hand-waving about "great rewards".
Independence
BestCredit is independently operated and reader-first. We may earn affiliate commissions when you apply through our links (full disclosure here), but issuers cannot pay for coverage, placement or scores. We are not a bank, NBFC or direct selling agent, and we don't provide personalised financial advice.
Corrections
Spotted a stale fee or a wrong reward rate? We treat accuracy as the product. Tell usand we'll verify against the issuer and fix it — typically within a few days.
