How it works and what it costs

Where the answers come from

Bestie reads the same verified card records, rankings and guides you see on this site, through tools that do the arithmetic before it writes a word. Every fee, rate and cap it quotes carries the date we last checked it, and cards we are re-verifying say so. It never sees your credit report and never checks a credit bureau: if you fill in the short form it offers, it knows only the bands you picked yourself, and if you attach a statement it reads that file for that day's conversation and no longer. It cannot write an Apply link — the cards it shows carry the site's own buttons. How we rate cards.

Why you verify

Each answer costs us real money. Before your first answer you verify an Indian mobile number on WhatsApp or an email address with a one-time code, once a month, and a Cloudflare Turnstile check confirms the request comes from a person. That gives you your own 15 free questions a day and keeps Bestie free for everyone.

Your 15 free credits a day

Every verified person gets 15 credits a day. A question costs one credit; analysing a statement you upload costs three. Credits reset at midnight Indian time and do not carry over — you get a fresh 15 every day. There are internal spending ceilings behind that count as a safeguard against runaway cost; you will not normally meet them, and the site as a whole has a daily ceiling so one busy day cannot take Bestie down for everyone. Conversations are capped at 20 turns each.

What we store

Not your number or address: a keyed one-way hash of it, a masked hint such as “+91 99*** **038”, and the dates you verified. Your conversations, for 90 days. How many credits each answer used, and what it cost us to run. Anything you told Bestie about yourself — a first name, a city, an income band, whether you are employed or self-employed, a credit-score band and an email address — until you erase it. A statement you attach is kept for that day's conversation and deleted at the end of that Indian day. You can download all of it and delete all of it from Bestie's menu at any time — except today's usage total, which stays under the keyed hash until midnight IST so that deleting and re-verifying does not give you 15 more. It is an AI, not an adviser

Bestie's answers are general information generated by an AI model from our data. They can be wrong or out of date, they are not financial advice or an eligibility decision, and no issuer is bound by them. Confirm the live terms on the issuer's page before you apply, and never type card numbers, CVVs, PINs, OTPs, PAN or Aadhaar into the chat. Grievance Officer: contact@bestcredit.in.
